FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation is the holding company of the Fujifilm Group having three operating companies such as FUJIFILM Corporation, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. and Toyama Chemical Co., Ltd. under its umbrella.

The Fujifilm Group once faced a rapid reduction of the market demand for our main products, photosensitive materials including photographic film and color photographic paper due to digitization. After overcoming such a drastic change in the operating environment, we regard this current period as our "Second Foundation," one in which everyone is striving to convert our business structure and realize a robust corporate constitution throughout the Group.

Recently, we are focusing on our priority business fields: medical/life sciences such as medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, functional skin care cosmetics and nutritional supplements; graphic arts such as printing materials and equipment; documents such as office equipment/printing; optical devices such as camera phone lens units; highly functional materials such as LCD materials; digital imaging such as digital cameras, digital printing, and Photobook. We are expanding our capabilities in these fields through proactive M&A as well as investment in R&D and facilities.

Fujifilm Group possesses ample chemical synthesis expertise cultivated over the years through the development of photographic technology, advanced nanotechnology and unique drug development capability. By integration and investing resources in these advanced and unique technologies, we are endeavoring to create new values.

The real worth of a manufacturer exists in the creation of truly beneficial and valuable products by utilizing its leading-edge and proprietary technologies, and delivering these finest products to as many customers as possible. If a product is not widely used, the true value of the product and that of the company cannot be clearly recognized. Should a company develop a technology which is not fully used and does not contribute to society, it results only in self-satisfaction of the company, even if the technology itself is outstanding.
