In recent years, instax mini's positive aspects have spread in East Asia, and its popularity is skyrocketing on a level where its production cannot reach the demand.

On October 5, 2011, FUJIFILM announced the release of FUJIFILM X10, a new premium compact digital camera. By launching high-value-added models into a digital camera market experiencing severe competition, FUJIFILM aims to achieve a brand image with a high reputation of high respect and high image quality and to increase its revenues.

FUJIFILM has been developing digital cameras that can reproduce natural image qualities as people see them. In this process, FUJIFILM's high imaging technologies and know-how, cultivated as a manufacturer of photographs, were fully used. As a result, FUJIFILM succeeded in developing the Super CCD EXR sensor and the FinePix REAL 3D System.
These proprietary technologies are the source of FUJIFILM's competitiveness.

In December 2010, FUJIFILM turned the semiconductor CMP slurry manufacturer/distributor US-based Planner Solutions, LLC into one of its wholly owned subsidiaries. FUJIFILM will further expand the electronic materials business, making further contributions to the development of the semiconductor devices industry.

Flat panel display (FPD) materials business, which provides film for liquid crystal displays (LCD) and is one of the core businesses of FUJIFILM, is skyrocketing due to an increase in worldwide demand for LCD TVs. To meet this demand, FUJIFILM announced expansion in production capability of film for LCDs in July 2010.

In April 2010, FUJIFILM Pharma Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of FUJIFILM established to build a base of development and marketing of pharmaceuticals business, started its operations. Generic drugs with the FUJIFILM brand came into existence.

If IT networks are built from highly advanced medical institutes to general hospitals and clinics on isolated islands, patients would be able to receive advanced medical treatment more easily. FUJIFILM is working to build this medical IT network, achieving the top share of PACS in the domestic market and in the third group in the US.

In October 2009, Toyama Chemical started the third and final phase of clinical trials in Japan for the T-705 anti-influenza agent, which boasts a different mechanism from other anti-influenza agent and has high expectations for its production from the public. Toyama Chemical, cooperating with FUJIFILM, is accelerating the development of the drug for early release.

FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation made Toyama Chemical Co., Ltd. a consolidated subsidiary in March 2008, and entered the pharmaceuticals field. Due to this entry, the Group's business field expanded from diagnosis and prevention to treatment. From now on, the Group will expand further to be a comprehensive healthcare company.

Until now, FUJIFILM's medical business focused on diagnostic imaging systems that capture the internal parts of our body.
Considering the recent growing trend toward a healthy life, the answer to the question, “What can the Group do using its core technologies?” was “entering the healthcare business.”

In November 2010, Fuji Xerox launched a series of compact A4 printer/multifunction devices and has installed various cutting-edge technologies. This series will focus on volumes in small and medium-sized overseas offices and emerging countries, making a full entry into these markets.

By collaborating with the customer's various critical business systems, Fuji Xerox's multifunction device offers new value by being the terminal, directly promoting the customer's business efficiency and product quantities.
