Examples of our efforts

 

Stakeholder dialogues provide an opportunity for employees to review Fujifilm Group's CSR. The dialogues are also a place to identify, share and examine related issues.

We communicated with various stakeholders including the infomation disclosure, or exchanges to our employees, NPOs and NGOs, schools, and local community.

The activities of 2015 included dialogues with non-governmental organizations (NGO) to collate their opinions about Fujifilm’s commitment to human rights as well as company tours inviting our employees’ family members to our facilities to encourage employee-family communication. In the regular environmental communication meetings with local stakeholders, we transmitted and disseminated information proactively as always.

Organized discussions with the employees to spread the “G-up” message to a wider audience in a bid to increase our power in the field as well as to start a dialogue with local stakeholders in Kyushu, a first effort for us. In China, we distributed reports on our local activities for the first time.

In addition to regular Stakeholder Dialogues held every year at our various business locations throughout Japan, we established a dedicated meeting place to collaborate and create new values with stakeholders in our Tokyo Head Office in January 2014. Also, in China, our colleagues are actively engaging in CSR communication activities, including presentation meetings under the theme of “Sustainable Green,” and publication of Sustainability Reports focusing on the China region.

Here is the report on a panel discussion meeting with experts and customers, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and activities of our researchers involved in the printing business. The article on our first environmental dialog meeting among four group companies in the Kaisei area, Kanagawa is also introduced.

In the long-term target of a 30% reduction in lifecycle CO2 emissions from products and services by fiscal 2020, Fujifilm Group has adopted the idea of reducing the absolute CO2 emissions throughout the lifecycle to contribute to prevention of global warming as a responsible company.

The Fujifilm Group began conducting FF / FX Synergy Training in 2008, with the aim of fostering reform. To incorporate the results of this training in future seminars, we held a stakeholder dialogue meeting at which participants exchanged opinions. The details of these stakeholder dialogues are disclosed within the Group via our intranet.

Stakeholder dialogues held so far in 2008 have focused on key issues (eco-printing, reducing the environmental burden of products, biodiversity and human diversity) and were organized into six sessions. The details of each dialogue session are introduced in this report.
